Bunji the Eagle
NHP, Director of Ewin Wood, has a long history with the Koorie Heritage Trust in his early years as a museum preparator.
When the KHT moved to their new site at Federation Square in Melbourne they entrusted Ewin to install their culturally significant wedge-tail eagle mount.
Now on view for people to see as they enter the new culture heritage centre, Bunji is an important dreamtime creation spirit for the Koori people and depicted in one of it’s sacred forms as a wedge tail eagle.
